Chris Condit – Founder of Texas 4000
Chris who had cancer at a very young age founded the Texas4000,
a service organization at the University of Texas at Austin. Each year,
40 or more members from the organization bike an arduous journey from Austin
to Anchorage, Alaska to raise money, hope and cancer awareness as they cycle across
the country. From 2004-2007, they have raised over $700,000. |

Linda Phan – Executive Director of Saheli
Linda Phan is the Executive Director of SAHELI,
an Austin small grassroots non-profit based in Austin that
provides services and assistance to Asian families dealing with domestic
violence and abuse. Linda exemplifies the spirit of compassion, respect and
upliftment of the individual, and working for societal transformation through non-violent means.
Behind the scenes, Linda does most of the organizing that maintains SAHELI's compassionate and
empowering family advocacy programs. |

Taylor – Executive Director of Big Brothers and Sisters
Kenny Taylor serves as the executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters
of Central Texas. In addition he also serves as a board member of the AIDS
Services of North Texas and is involved with several other organizations.
Kenny was also selected to serve on the Joint Steering Committee on Gang
Activity hosted by the Austin ISD and the Austin Police Department |

The Art of Living Foundation and its sister organization, International Association
for Human Values (IAHV), is represented in more than 150 countries, making it amongst
the largest of the United Nations' accredited organizations in the world. The programs
and service activities of the Art of Living Foundation have benefited more than twenty-five
million people across the globe from all walks of life including victims of 9/11, Asian Tsunami,
Hurricane Katrina and wars in Iraq, Kosovo and Afghanistan.
To mark the occasion of 25 years of service to humanity, the Foundation has launched
an initiative for a Violence-Free, Stress-Free America. This initiative is a collaborative
effort driven by a belief that individuals through our words and actions, are responsible
for creating the kind of world in which we want to live in. The Foundation has also
established the Sri Sri Ravishankar Award for Uplifting Human Values to recognize
members of our society who have demonstrated their commitments to improve human values
in our communities and hence create a better world. This award will be given in more
than 35 cities in the US including Austin, culminating with a major celebration during
Human Values Awareness week on March 28, 2007, at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC
